COMFAR - Computer Model for Feasibility Analysis and Reporting has been a flagship UNIDO product for over 30 years.
Vienna, Austria, Nov. 29th. 2016. During the month of November 2016, while UNIDO celebrated its 50th anniversary, the ILC also held advanced training courses for participants from 6 countries on financial analysis of investment project appraisal in the spirt of contributing towards the SDGs. On top of this, multiple experts were certified as UNIDO COMFAR trainers in their own right. Finally, UNIDO staff members were invited to enhance their skills in evaluation of investment projects to contribute to impact investment, innovation, and Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID).
Yaounde, Cameroon. Oct. 28th, 2016. One week training course on Financial Analysis of Investment Project Scenarios with Application of COMFAR software was organized by UNIDO’s Regional Division Africa (EFR/RPF/AFR) in co-operation with the Ministry of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts. Technical support for the workshop was provided by PTC/TII Investment Learning Centre. 13 professionals have successfully completed the course at beginner’s level. The course is a part of EFR/RPF/AFR regional program to strengthen / built capacities of governmental and private sector institutions in investment project identification, preparation and implementation. A series of courses and workshops - at different levels, including Training of Trainers – is to be offered in several African countries. The focus is on establishing experts groups at national and regional level who will help entrepreneurs to develop quality and bankable investment project proposals that drive economic transformation.
Vienna, Oct.17th , 2016. UNIDO Investment Learning Centre puts a red carpet to welcome participants of the One – Belt – One – Road (OBOR), Inclusive and Sustainable City Exhibition and Dialogue that starts today at UNIDO HQs. During the event UNIDO ILC will facilitate the Matchmaking City to City Partnerships to Promote Investment. UNIDO methodologies, tools and approaches for promotion of investment projects to drive economic transformation will be discussed during side events and workshops. The will be also presented to OBOR participants at UNIDO ILC booth.
Vienna, Sept. 29th, 2016 . Two week training course on Financial Analysis of Investment Project Scenarios with Application of COMFAR software was organized by the Agri-Business Development Branch of UNIDO’s Programme Development and Technical Cooperation Division (PTC/AGR) within the framework of the project Supporting Nigeria’s Staple Crop Processing Zones (SCPZs). Technical support for the workshop was provided by PTC/TII Investment Learning Centre. 12 Nigerian professionals have successfully completed the course at intermediate level. The course was held at UNIDO HQs in Vienna from September 19th to 29th, 2016.
