Diversify industrial production into non-hydrocarbon products
| Objectives |
The programme aims to improve the contribution of the private sector to industrial competitiveness and diversification within the framework of market liberalization and forthcoming membership of the World Trade Organization and formulate, in cooperation with the Government and the private sector, an industrial strategy based on the expansion of technology-based industrial activities.

COMPONENT I: INDUSTRIAL GOVERNANCE

COMPONENT II: INDUSTRIAL STRATEGIES AND POLICIES
Strategy for cooperation between the Government and private sector to enhance industrial competitiveness and diversification; Policy framework to support implementation of the strategy; Development strategy and action programme for selected sectors (Current Planning Figure: US6,640)
COMPONENT III: ORGANIZATION OF SUPPORT SERVICES
Assistance to the Government and private sector to organize a network of support services in investment and technology promotion, business development services for small- and medium-scale enterprises, standardization, accreditation and conformity assessment, continuous improvement and quality management, human resources development and business information network (Current Planning Figure: US4,660)
