  • BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - CREDENTIALS

    VIENNA, 27 August 2015 - The Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to UNIDO, Sanjin Halimović, presented his credentials to Director General Li. Highlighting the good relationship with the Government, Li briefed Halimović on UNIDO’s initiatives to support high-tech parks in Eastern Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean. Halimović thanked him for the good cooperation and underlined the relevance of ISID for his country.

  • SLOVENIA - CREDENTIALS

    VIENNA, 27 August 2015 - The Permanent Representative of Slovenia to UNIDO, Andrej Benedejčič, presented his credentials to the UNIDO Director General LI Yong. Recalling his fruitful visit to Slovenia, Li commended the support of the Government for UNIDO and ISID mandate. Benedejčič expressed his satisfaction for the good cooperation and welcomed in particular the engagement of the private sector in UNIDO’s projects.

  • THE NETHERLANDS - CREDENTIALS

    VIENNA, 26 August 2015 - The new Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to UNIDO, Marco Hennis,presented his credentials to Director General LI. Li briefed Hennis on major activities at UNIDO, in particular the implementation of the inclusive and sustainable industrial development mandate. Hennis thanked the Director General for his extensive briefing, and said that he was looking forward to cooperating with UNIDO.

  • SWEDEN - FAREWELL

    VIENNA, 26 August 2015 - Nils Daag, Permanent Representative of Sweden to UNIDO, paid a farewell visit to Director General Li. Li commended the contribution of Sweden in alleviating poverty, and thanked Daag and his country for their contribution to the work of UNIDO. He updated him on the 2030 agenda process and the inclusion of Goal 9, and informed him of the forthcoming opening of the UNIDO Nordic Office in Copenhagen.     VIENNA, 25 August 2015 – Director General Li and Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish, Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), signed a grant agreement today. OFID and UNIDO will combine their technical and financial resources to help improve the productivity and competitiveness of the shrimp value chain in the Latin American region.

    VIENNA, 2 July 2015 - Alí de Jesús Uzcátegui Duque, Permanent Representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to UNIDO, paid is farewell visit to the Director General.
