ITPO France (Paris)

General information

The mandate of ITPO France (Paris) is to promote industrial partnership opportunities (investments, technology transfer, joint ventures and other business agreements), cooperation between intermediary institutions and organizations representing the private sector of developing countries and of France as well as the main services, tools and forum of UNIDO.

Services

• Inform and assist French enterprises and institutions in the identification of potential partners from developing countries and in the negotiations of these partnerships, giving priority to middle and high investment projects with high social and economic impact, especially in terms of job creation
• Organize international fora, thematic seminars and workshops with a view to contributing and increasing the international cooperation between institutions, representatives of the private and public sectors, industrial federations and centres of excellence, with special emphasis on green industry and sustainable tourism
• Organize and follow up, in cooperation with relevant French institutions, bilateral business meetings, study tours in France, business delegations as well as develop cooperation projects between organizations representing or supporting SMEs, with focus on SME clusters and agribusiness
• Support counterparts in developing countries (investment promotion agencies, business development organizations and other private sector service providers) in the organization of investment promotion events and contribute to upgrade their capacities through specific training activities on investment promotion techniques and tools
• Provide on job training and networking opportunities to Delegates from Investment Promotion Agencies in developing countries (Delegate Programme) Delegates are invited to promote specific sectors and investment project proposals from their countries for foreign direct investment and technology transfer from France
• Business development, in particular for clusters, SMEs and investment promotion
• Implementation of joint innovative activities in the area of sustainable tourism and the promotion of creative industries
