UNIDO 's Regional Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is in
charge of promoting sustainable industrial development in the LAC region.
UNIDO and the Programme 's utmost aims are the implementation and
fulfilment of the Regional Programme for LAC countries 2006-2009
and the delivery of technical assistance in the countries.
UNIDO's sub-regional projects and
programmes are formulated jointly with UNIDO's counterparts, according to national
priorities.
Moreover, UNIDO's LAC Programme has developed support horizontal mechanisms like the
Technical Assistance Knowledge Bankaiming at promoting South-South
Cooperation.
