What we Aim to Achieve in Tanzania

UNIDO works side by side with the government and the people of Tanzania to promote inclusive growth and increased participation of marginalized groups in the development process.

Our support programmes and services are geared, on one hand, towards building capacity of national institutions to facilitate the private sector to competitively participate in the global economic system and contribute to national socioeconomic development. On the other hand, our interventions are aimed at helping enterprises upgrade their capacities and competitively deliver goods and services required by the market.

Activities in Tanzania fall under UNIDO’s three thematic priorities:

(i) Poverty Reduction through Productive Activities; (ii) Trade Capacity Building and (iii) Energy and Environment.
