Agribusiness Session

The agribusiness group will provide opportunity for high level business executives, in particular those that have investments in oil palm, cotton/textile and cassava industries, to review the status of these industries in Africa and discuss how best to diversify them.  The segment will also include representatives of financial establishments and equity funds, entrepreneurs, academia as well as the RECs.  The segment will be an opportunity to update the participants on the implementation of 3ADI and the outcome of the last LDC Ministerial Conference.  Issues relating to access to finance, provision of infrastructure and improvement of the business environment will be covered.  The outcome of and recommendations from these discussions will form an integral part of the brief to be given to the AU Summit.
