The project also includes various measures to build and strengthen necessary institutional capacities and regulatory measures as well as develop necessary actions for implementation of the remainder of KEIP. For optimum results the KTPC project will be implemented in phases. Phase 1 is focused on introduction of better process control in tanneries, tanneries in-house pretreatment and establishment of overall drainage system including evacuation of existing stagnant pools.
