Awarding Ceremony

...the Deputy Director General, FECO of SEPA, when two representatives from Jia Xi Pera compressors company and Zhejiang Hua ri Refrigerator company received the certificates from Mr. Sajjad Ajmal’s hand, the UNIDO regional head. The awarding ceremony was hosted on 16th January 2008 in the UNIDO’s Beijing Office. In addition to the representatives from two enterprises and media, the representatives from UNIDO regional office in Beijing, SEPA, and CHEAA attended in the ceremony. However, the presence of Mr. Sajjad Ajmal and Mr. WEN Wurui shows the “golden content” of two awards. “The award certificates were designed and issued by the Ozone Secretariat of the Montreal Protocol to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol, in recognition of the work carried out by Governments, enterprises and implementing agencies”, Mr. Ajmal told the reporters.

Mr. Ajmal disclosed that more than 5,000 projects have been implemented worldwide with the support of the MLF fund for phasing out ODS until now. The Ozone Secretariat nominated over 70 projects, covering different sectors. Among the 70 nominee, 31 projects, were selected. On account of the greatest efforts and special contribution regarding to the Ozone layer protection by Jia Xi Pera and Zhejiang Hua Ri, UNIDO had submitted these two projects as nominees to Evaluation commission.
