How to get to the UNIDO Geneva Office

By Public Transport

By Bus (Route 10)

  1. Take Bus No. 10 (heading in the direction of Onex-Cite) from the Airport and get off at the 22-Cantons (Gare Cornavin) bus stop. The trip will last approximately 25 minutes. The fare will cost a total of CHF 3.20 and the ticket will be valid for one hour. Tickets are available from special vending machines at all bus stops (be sure to select the Tout Genève option).
  2. Once at Cornavin, take Bus No. 8 (heading in the direction of Appia/OMS). Get off the bus at the Appia bus stop (the ride will be about 10 minutes long). Remember that the ticket you purchased at the airport will still be valid unless more than one hour has passed since the purchase.
  3. Bus No. 8 will leave you in front of the entrance to the UN compound - please proceed towards the Pregny Gate.
  4. Proceed to the UNIDO office after passing the security checkpoint at the Gate. Please refer to the map on how to reach us.

By Bus (Route 28)

  1. Take Bus No. 28 (heading in the direction of Jardin Botanique) from the Airport and get off at the Nations bus stop. The ride will last approximately 15 minutes. The fare will cost a total of CHF 3.20 and the ticket will be valid for one hour. Tickets are available from special vending machines at all bus stops (be sure to select the Tout Genève option).
  2. Follow the sidewalk leading up the hill past the formal UN compound entrance. The walk will take approximately 5-10 minutes. To your right, you will eventually find the Pregny Gate.
  3. Proceed to the UNIDO office after passing the security checkpoint at the Gate. Please refer to the map on how to reach us.

By Taxi

  • Available taxis will usually be lined up in front of the main exit from the airport building. If no taxis are available, you can order one by calling the taxi service at 022 331-41-33
  • Ask the taxi driver to take you to the following address:
    • Palais des Nations
    • Avenue de la Paix 8-14
    • Pregny Gate
  • The taxi will leave you in front of the Pregny Gate entrance of the UN compound. Proceed to the security checkpoint.
  • The taxi fare will vary depending on traffic conditions and will be around CHF 40 (approximately EUR 25).
  • Proceed to the UNIDO office after passing the security checkpoint at the Gate. Please refer to the map on how to reach us.
From Geneva Cornavin Train Station

By Bus (Route 8)

By Tram (Route 13 & 15)

  1. At the Gare Cornavin stop, take Tram No. 13 or Tram No. 15 (both heading in the direction of Nations). Get off the tram at the Nations stop (the ride should last no longer than 10 minutes). Tickets cost CHF 3.20 and can be purchased at special vending machines found at every stop (be sure to select the Tout Genève option).
