First Regional Cleaner Production Conference

4-5 November 2008 - Mexico

UNIDO, in cooperation with the “Instituto Politécnico Nacional”, the NCPC Mexico and the Latin American Cleaner Production Network organizes their First Regional Cleaner Production Conference in Mexico City, Mexico, 4 and 5 November 2008.

The First Regional Cleaner Production Conference has the objective to present to relevant stakeholders of the region the experience and initiatives developed by the NCPCs. The NCPCs will share their experience in the implementation of Cleaner Production and related topics, discuss new trends on the Cleaner Production developments that are of interest in Latin America and motivate the private sector to implement Cleaner Production.

Participants from more than 14 countries from the region will attend the conference presenting their experiences on: the implementation of Cleaner Production, as an instrument to enhance companies’ competitiveness, the implementation of Cleaner Production Voluntary Agreements, their work on the field of climate change, supply-chain management and extended producer responsibility.

At the same time, financial, governmental and academic institutions will present their perspective in Cleaner Production implementation jointly with the Centers in the region.
