DIPP

The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India,  is the nodal agency for UNIDO activities in India. 

DIPP defines the Government’s priorities with respect to UNIDO’s interventions, supports the Regional Office in Delhi in the design and  implementation of UNIDO’s  multifaceted  industrial and cooperation programmes  and  facilitates the organisation’s interface with  other Indian Ministries, Departments and Agencies at Central and State levels. 

Besides its annual contribution as a founding member of UNIDO, India also makes every year a voluntary contribution to the Organization’s Industrial Development Fund (IDF) which invests in various projects across India  as well as in  technical  assistance from India to other developing countries through the global network of UNIDO.
