Since the foundation of the company in 1989, the management has committed itself to the development and continuous improvement of a state-of-the-art production function that would provide sustainable premium quality Egyptian fresh produce to the international and local markets, with a clear focus on optimizing all its processes to achieve efficiency and reduce the impact of farming on the environment and the health and safety of its employees.
MAFA farms were established in 1989 in Noubaria; a desert reclaimed area that is almost 80km from Alexandria (the Mediterranean sea-port). The farms are owned and centrally managed by Magrabi Agriculture through an integrated food safety and quality management system that complies with the food industry's international standards. The following is a very brief description of some of the activities undertaken by MAFA Farms and which demonstrate its high standards of ethical, social, and environmental responsibility whether through normal business practice or innovative initiatives.
Customer needs and expectations are the main driving force in Magrabi Agriculture's company-wide endeavour to achieve customer satisfaction through the appropriate management of human, natural and other resources. Customer satisfaction will be regularly measured through key performance indicators during the business relationship with them. Corrective and preventive action will be taken immediately as far as is practically possible to remedy any deviations that might affect customer expectations or lead to customer dissatisfaction.
