L’ONUDI et la Tunisie

Le Rapport sur le développement Industriel a été élaboré sous la supervision de Kandeh K. Yumkella, Directeur General de l’ONUDI. Il a été préparé par une équipe issue de différentes entités organisationnelles, dirigée par Ludovico Alcorta, Directeur du Service de Politiques de Développement, de la recherche et la statistique. La série des Rapports sur le développement industriel (IDR) est destinée à s'appuyer sur l'expérience politique de développement et à contribuer à un raffinement de l'ordre du jour du développement international.

On 28th of March 2012, in Tunis at the presence of the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and Commerce, His Excellency Mohamed Lamine Chakhar has taken place the national dissemination event on results and way forward of the program “Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology in the South Mediterranean Region - MED TEST”.

Celebration of the Africa Industrialization Day

On the occasion of the Africa Industrialization Day, the 20th of November, UNIDO is organizing a conference in cooperation with the Tunisian Union for Industry, Trade and Handcraft (UTICA), the Tunisian Association of Grandes Ecoles (ATUGE). The theme of the Day will be "Competitive Industries for the Development of Africa". The World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Africa, and other high level speakers, will debate on industrial competitiveness in Africa in the current global economic environment. The conference will take place at UTICA on 24th of November 2010 at 8.30 am.

The kick off meeting of the MED TEST project took place on June 2nd, 2009.

The meeting gathered an advisory committee, which included the Textile Technical Center (CETTEX), the National Leather and Shoe Center (CNCC), the Agriculture Technical Center (CTAA), UNIDO, the Ministry of Industry, the project coordinator and the experts of technical centers. The committee launched the project activities and agreed on a strategy approach. Additionally, a training program on the MED TEST methodology took place at the UNIDO headquarters in Vienna in April 2009. It included selected experts of the three technical center projects.

A graduation event was organized for the participants of the training group to learn about micro entrepreneurship.

TUNIS, 13 April 2009 - A “graduation” event was organized for the 11 participants of the 6th EDP training at the presence of representatives of UNIDO, CJD, BTS, BPME, AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales), ENDA Inter Arabe (support to micro entrepreneurs) and many other organizations and students. Promoters presented their business plans for the establishment of small companies in services and manufacturing sectors such as succession and development of jewellery business, human resources development, recycling of olive oil waste, renewable energy, recycling of packagings and packaging production, assembly of water analysis machineries, production of safety equipments, tourism and culture development, marketing and communication.
