Building capacity for evaluation and evaluation management in Viet Nam
HANOI, 13 December 2012 - A workshop on evaluation and evaluation management, conducted by UNIDO at the request of the Government of Viet Nam, ended in Hanoi today.
Seventeen participants from UNIDO counterpart ministries and organizations, as well as from the UNIDO Field Office, took part in the three-day training course.
The workshop featured theory and practice, and covered key concepts in evaluation and evaluation management. It examined the role of monitoring and evaluation in development programmes; evaluation functions; norms and standards for evaluations; result-based planning, monitoring and evaluation; the logical framework approach; and the drafting of evaluation terms of references and reports. Case studies were used to help participants get a deeper understanding and to promote learning by doing.
