The UNIDO Programme in Djibouti advances new sources of growth by developing the private sector

The aim is to support Government efforts to alleviate poverty and unemployment through promoting new sources of economic growth and private investment. In this regard, the main components of this Programme include strengthening institutional capacities through technical assistance and investment projects, as well as providing strategic support to key sectors in assisting in data analysis of new sources of growth for the economy.

The UNIDO programmatic approach in Djibouti will also include identifying special and focused stand-alone projects as they are likely to be funded by donors and can thereby generate an impact at the country level.
