Pakistan's Ambassador Shahbaz presents credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Pakistan to UNIDO, Mr. Shahbaz, presented his credentials today to UNIDO Director-General, Kandeh K. Yumkella.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Shahbaz was serving as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Norway (since 2001).

Mr. Shahbaz has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including: as Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1997-2001), and on diplomatic assignments in The Hague (1993-97), Geneva (1989-93), Hungary (1987-89) and Mexico (1975-78).

Mr. Shahbaz holds university degrees in Arts and Law. He is married and has two children.
