Republic of Korea's Ambassador to UNIDO Kim Sung-hwan presents credentials

The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to UNIDO, Kim Sung-hwan, presented his credentials today to UNIDO Director-General Kandeh K. Yumkella..

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Kim was serving as Deputy Minister for Planning and Management, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2005-06).

Mr. Kim has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including as: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan (2002-05), Director-General, North American Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2001-02) and Aide to the Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2000-01).

Mr. Kim graduated from the Department of Economics, Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea and studied at the Graduate School of London University in London, United Kingdom. He is married and has two children.
