Indonesia's Ambassador Triyono Wibowo presents credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Indonesia to UNIDO, Triyono Wibowo presented his credentials today to UNIDO Director-General Kandeh K. Yumkella.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Wibowo was serving as Assistant to the Minister for Foreign Affairs for Administrative and Management Affairs (since 2004).
Mr. Wibowo has served in a variety of capacities in the course of his career as a foreign service officer including as: Secretary for the Directorate General for European and American Affairs and Head of the Personnel Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs (2002-04); Deputy Director for Economic Cooperation Among Developing Countries (1996-99); Deputy Director for Multilateral Economic Cooperation (1988-91); Desk Officer for Northern European Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs (1982-84).
Mr. Wibowo has served as Minister Counsellor at the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, DC, in 1999 and at the Permanent Mission of Indonesia to the United Nations (New York) in 1991. He has also served as political officer at the Permanent Mission of Indonesia in Vienna, Austria, and as Alternate Governer for Indonesia at the International Atomic Energy Agency (1985-89).
Mr. Wibowo graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Airlangga in 1979. He is married and has three children.
