Philippines' Ambassador Linglingay F. Lacanlale presents credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Philippines UNIDO, Mrs. Linglingay F. Lacanlale, presented her credentials today to UNIDO Director-General, Kandeh K. Yumkella.
Immediately prior to her current appointment, Ambassador Lacanlale was Chief of Protocol and Presidential Assistant for Foreign Affairs in the Office of the President.
From 1997 to 2003 she was in New York, first as Deputy Permanent Representative Permanent Mission of the Philippines to the United Nations, (May 1997-April 1999), then, until November, as Consul General, Philippine Consulate General, New York.
It is the second time Ambassador Lacanlale has been posted to Austria. She was last here as from 1986-1993, as First Secretary, then Minister Counsellor and Consul General, Philippine Embassy.
Ambassador Lacanlale has an M. A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs and is the recipient of the Occidental College Fellowship and the Phi Beta Kappa International Scholarship.
