Promoting innovative industries and technologies for a sustainable future in the Europe and NIS region
During the fourteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference, taking place between 28 November and 2 December 2011 in Vienna, the UNIDO Programme for Europe and Newly Independent States (Europe and NIS) will organize a regional round table on the theme “Promoting innovative industries and technologies for a sustainable future in the Europe and NIS region”. The round table theme highlights that intelligent strategies and policies targeting the mix of new innovative industries and technologies, and tailored to the specific country and regional context, are of critical importance to reconcile the three main pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social.
