UNIDO ITPO France in Marseille

Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Marseille

General information

The Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) of Marseille, in France, was established in December 2004 to mobilize and facilitate investments, technology transfers and partnerships between French companies, with a special focus on the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and southern regions, and those from developing countries with special focus on the Mediterranean region.

In that respect, the localisation of the ITPO Marseilles should be seen as a strong asset, in assisting SME in approaching target countries, which are often seen as difficult markets.

Thereby, ITPO Marseille aims at :

  • Establishing cooperation schemes mutually beneficiary to operators both in France and foreign countries;
  • Identifying, screening and selecting projects to be implemented in target countries (through UNIDO networks, local counterparts and/or France-based institutions);
  • Ensuring the promotion of selected projects;
  • Identifying potential partners;
  • Assisting local operators willing to access developing countries (institutions/private sector).
