VIENNA, 1 August 2013 - Young experts from West Africa working in public and private energy sectors will have the opportunity to receive extensive training in the areas of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and energy policy planning.
A new Columbia University e-learning course will offer in-depth training in the field of sustainable energy systems and solutions. The first course will start in January 2014. It will include a workshop at the Engineering Department of the University of Cape Verde (UNICV) in Mindelo, Sao Vicente.
The complete e-learning course will provide trainees with a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Sustainable Energy, which in turn could be the first step in a Masters programme in renewable energy.
