UNIDO forges partnership with Clinton Climate Initiative

ROSEAU, Dominica, 21 July 2014 – During a regional workshop held to set up the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Pradeep Monga, Director of the Energy and Climate Change Branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and Jan Hartke, Director of Clean Energy at the Clinton Climate Initiative of the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, agreed to forge a strong partnership between UNIDO’s  Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres and the Clinton Climate Initiative.

Hartke expressed his strong support for UNIDO’s initiative in fostering the development of clean energy through the regional centres promoted in the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) by UNIDO and SIDS DOCK.
