As of 1 January 2013, 172 States are Members of UNIDO. Of these, 171 are shown in the Lists of States. The following Member State is not yet included in any of those lists:
Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Annex I to the Constitution, if a State not listed in any of those lists becomes a Member of UNIDO, the General Conference shall decide, after appropriate consultations, in which of those lists it is to be included. The matter will be brought to the attention of the Conference at its fourteenth session (28 November-2 December 2011) for consideration. The lists are a classification established by the United Nations. UNIDO continued the classification when it became a specialized agency in 1985.
