HOLY SEE - CREDENTIALS
VIENNA, 25 March 2015 - Monsignor Janusz Urbanczyk paid a courtesy call to the Director General to present the notification of his appointment as Permanent Observer of the Holy See to UNIDO. Pointing out the importance of industrialization, the Director General underlined that it should be inclusive and sustainable. Monsignor Urbanczyk expressed his interest in the work of UNIDO and assured of his support.

UGANDA - CREDENTIALS
VIENNA, 19 March 2015 – The new Permanent Representative of Uganda to UNIDO, Marcel R. Tibaleka, presented his credentials to the Director General. The Director General briefed him on the implementation of ISID and UNIDO’s new programmatic approach, in particular the Programme for Country Partnerships launched in 2014 in two pilot countries. He said that in future, discussions may not only focus on technical cooperation, but also on industrial development strategies.

ZIMBABWE - FAREWELL VISIT
VIENNA, 25 February 2015 - Grace Tsitsi Mutandiro, Permanent Representative of Zimbabwe to UNIDO, paid her farewell visit to Director General Li. The Director General thanked Mutandiro for her commitment to UNIDO in the past and commended Zimbabwe’s support of inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID). He also underlined the importance of the current sustainable development goal for African countries and the least developed countries.

COSTA RICA - CREDENTIALS
VIENNA, 20 February 2015 - Director General Li received the credentials of Pilar Saborío De Rocafort, the new Permanent Representative of Costa Rica to UNIDO. He expressed his appreciation for the good ongoing cooperation with Costa Rica as well as its support in the post-2015 process to position UNIDO and industrial development. The Permanent Representative highlighted the importance of country programmes and underlined that middle-income countries could be effective partners in development.
