Promoting women's empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development in North Africa and Middle East
The Conference, which includes addresses and panel discussions, will present an updated report on the constraints faced by women entrepreneurs in the region, discuss measures and policies needed to promote women economic empowerment, demonstrate the potential of Cultural and Creative Industries in creating economic opportunities for women and facilitate sharing of best practices of successful women entrepreneurs as role model.
The Conference is part of the UNIDO projects on "Promoting Women's Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development in the MENA region" and “Creative Mediterranean, Development of Clusters in Cultural and Creative Industries in the Southern Mediterranean”, funded by the European Union and Italy.
Speakers from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, and some European countries, will include prominent representative of public and private sector, academia, women’ business associations, successful women entrepreneurs, development banks, NGOs and international organizations.
