[UN]BLOCKED conference

When: April 1, 2019 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Where: Vienna University of Economics and Business, Welthandelsplatz 1, 1020 Vienna

How can Blockchain and the Web3 help us make the world a more sustainable place? How can future technologies help achieve the UN SDGs? These and other questions will be addressed at the conference “[UN]BLOCKED”, where best examples highlighting the link between blockchain application and sustainability will be presented.

UNIDO representatives will participate in the conference as panel speakers in the section titled “How can blockchain help policy makers achieve sustainable development goals?” The attention of the public will be drawn to the issue of the SDG financing gap and elaborating on the role of innovations in closing it. More specifically, a new initiative focused on the deployment of modern technologies in facilitating access to finance in emerging markets will be discussed.
