VIENNA – The e-Learning course on the Application of Advanced Technologies and New Business Models in the Biopharma and Medical Sectors is now available!

The training allows participants to explore the application of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies in the biopharma and medical industries, to identify potential barriers and solutions to the adoption process, and to better understand the industry's business model and market trends within the context of the 4IR. This contributes to the achievement of inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The course comprises four modules: (1) an introduction to 4IR technologies, (2) the use and potential of 4IR technologies in the biopharma and medical value chains, (3) the application of seven selected technologies (robotics, big data, cloud computing, 3D printing, Internet of Things, digital twin, and artificial intelligence), and (4) business models and market trends in biopharma and medical sectors.

The content of the training has been designed to benefit participants working in governance, institutions, academies, firms, and small and medium-sized enterprises as well as individuals. The course is open to anyone interested, and no prior knowledge is required.

The training course has been developed in cooperation with Aizon, and with contributions from the Slovenian Ministry for Economy, Tourism and Sport (MET) and the Slovenian Enterprise Fund (SEF). The training will be accessible through the UNIDO Knowledge Hub, within the Training Academy section, free of change.
