Value of ISO 50001 Policies and Supportive Infrastructure APEC Workshop
The United States' Department of Energy (DOE), the Indonesian Ministry of Energy (MEMR), the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) are organizing a three day international policy oriented workshop from 23-25 January 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The training workshop, which is arranged under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), aims to discuss the value of ISO 50001 policies and support infrastructure.
Energy efficiency experts from China, Indonesia, Mexico, Myanmar, South Korea, Thailand and the US are convening to discuss and explore the role of ISO 500001 in domestic policies and energy efficiency programmes as well as to introduce concepts of energy performance.
Paul Scheihing from the DOE, Joe Ritchie from IEA and Sanjaya Shrestha from UNIDO will facilitate the sessions and provide technical support during the workshop. Sugeng Mujiyanto from the Ministry of Energy and Resources, and Esam Alqararah from UNIDO, will also attend the opening of the workshop.
The UNIDO Office in Jakarta is coordinating and providing logistic support for the training workshop.
