First Regional Conference on Sustainable Industrial Development

The First Regional Conference on Sustainable Industrial Development: “Promoting Sustainable Energy Solutions and Clean Technologies in CIS Countries” will take place from 22 to 23 November 2017 in the C-Building of the Vienna International Centre (VIC), Conference Room C4 (7th floor) in Vienna, Austria. The event is organized by UNIDO with financial support from the Russian Federation.
Building on UNIDO’s diverse projects portfolio in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region and taking into account the region’s specific development needs and characteristics, the Conference will cover the following five thematic panel sessions:
- Panel Session I: Strategies and instruments to promote green industries
- Panel Session II: Adoption of resource efficient and cleaner production processes
- Panel Session III: Enhancing industrial energy efficiency and energy management systems
- Panel Session IV: Public-private partnership (PPP) for development and promotion of sustainable energy solutions and clean technologies
- Panel Session V: Financing opportunities for clean technologies and energy efficient industries
The event will also feature an exhibition of selected companies on 23 and 24 November 2017, which will further showcase advanced technologies in the field of sustainable energy solutions and cleaner technologies. In addition, a study tour to selected companies has been organized to showcase existing sustainable energy solutions and cleaner technologies.
