MARSEILLE, 29 November 2010 - UNIDO and Jordan’s Environment Ministry will organize an Eco-Cities Forum in Marseille from from 2 to 3 December.
The event, taking place during the Mediterranean Economic Week, will focus on environmental challenges being faced by cities in the region.
The debates will bring together experts, local authorities and private sector leaders to discuss key issues in the area of urban planning and environmental management.
UNIDO will also present its “Green Industry” concept and show ways industries can reduce their environmental impact using eco-technologies.
The Eco-Cities Forums are designed to create a dialogue between various related sectors and stakeholders in order to promote environmentally sound practices in municipalities of the Mediterranean region by presenting success stories that have strong emphasis on finding business solutions to environmental issues.
