The event presented the experience and results of PCP implementation in pilot countries, namely Ethiopia, Peru and Senegal, and sensitize African countries to the principles of inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID).

Around 500 participants attended the forum, including high-level representatives from African governments, international and regional financial institutions, technical and financial development partners, and the private sector.

The objective of the forum was to identify ISID solutions in Africa, and in particular to mobilize large-scale investment through the preparation and endorsement of an action plan for the replication of the PCP model in regional economic communities in Africa.

Topics of discussion:

   1. Importance of regional integration for inclusive and sustainable industrialization in Africa.
   2. Regional financing solutions for industrial projects and infrastructure development.


The first day consisted of a high-level panel discussion focusing on issues related to regional inclusive and sustainable industrial development, building on experiences gained from the implementation of pilot PCPs. It also presented an action plan for the replication of the PCP model across West Africa.

The second day provided a platform for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, and featured an exhibition of industrial products. A visit to the integrated industrial park of Diamniadio, one of the flagship industrial projects of the Government of Senegal, was also be organized.
