The Global Network of Regional Sustainable Centres (GN-SEC) accelerates the energy and climate transformation by creating economies of scale and spillover effects between countries. In partnership with Member States, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and other key stakeholders, the centres work towards the creation of integrated regional markets for sustainable energy and climate technology products and services by setting targets, policies, standards and incentives, as well as by de-risking investments. The gradually expanding network comprises centres covering most of the least developed countries and small island developing states. The network of Centres is an innovative south-south and triangular multi-stakeholder partnership on common issues and solutions relating to the acceleration of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
