Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN)

The primary obstacles to the large-scale deployment of low carbon, climate resilient technologies required to curb climate change are access to finance and limited pipeline of investment-ready projects. The Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN), hosted jointly by UNIDO and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) aims at bridging this gap between investors and entrepreneurs for the advancement of high-potential climate and clean energy projects in emerging markets. By successfully contributing to the development and deployment of low carbon generation capacity in a number of key developing countries (e.g. India, Ghana, Gambia and Vietnam), PFAN will in turn help to mitigate global emissions of greenhouse gases, and to achieve the goals of the 2016 UNFCCC Paris Agreement, as well as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
