TORONTO, July 2018 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was awarded the 2018 OpenText Elite “Making a Difference” Award by the company OpenText, a global leader in enterprise information management.
“Every year, OpenText recognizes customers who are shaping the future of technology, solving the challenges of today’s digital reality and helping to make their organizations more successful with OpenText solutions,” said OpenText CEO Mark J. Barrenechea. “This year’s winners are leading the way in becoming intelligent and connected enterprises, embracing the digital revolution and driving value, insight and engagement from information.”
UNIDO promotes inclusive and sustainable industrial development or ISID; to do so, the Organization uses OpenText software which is tightly integrated to SAP, thereby providing easy navigation to the user interfaces. “This solution enables us to automate our key business processes,” said UNIDO’S Technical Team Leader Peter Holzleitner, who accepted the Award on behalf of the Organization. “Member State representatives use the solution through an Extranet. The positive user acceptance and feedback received allows UNIDO to focus on streamlining their processes and on providing better services for our members”.
During the Award ceremony, a cash prize of US$10,000 bestowed by OpenText was immediately donated by Mr. Holzleitner on behalf of the Organization to the Vienna Chapter of the UN Women’s Guild.
