 Plastics Waste Management & Recycling; in particular Mechanical Recycling of waste Plastics to value added products & prototypes with innovations in process & material designs.
 Experience in sustainable recovery of plastics & plastic based products while rendering efforts towards light weighting of packaging, improving the performance characteristics for various targeted application
 Expertise in development of Compostable Plastics – an alternative to petrochemical feedstocks with improved properties for suitable end use
 Handling of Plastics generated from Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipments (WEEE) and conversion of the same to vale added products
 Undertaken several Consultancy assignments in the areas of Mechanical Recycling & Development of Compostable Plastics with leading Industries like M/s ITC Bengaluru, M/s PepsiCo India Pvt Ltd, M/s GXT Green USA, M/s Sabic Bengaluru etc.
 Published 254 nos of Research papers in peer reviewed International Journals till date.
 Undertaken 30 Research Projects successfully through different funding agencies with desired deliverables.
 Supervised 22 Nos of Ph.D Thesis in the areas of E-Waste Recycling, Compostable Plastics, Nanocomposites, Composites
 Contributed 07 Nos of Books/ Book Chapters in the area of Polymer / Material Science & Engineering & Edited 02 Nos of Books with International publishers.
 Lead 06 Nos of International Projects in the area of Polymer Composites, Coatings, Adhesives Taken initiatives in taking up R&D Projects with Defence PSUs as a part of indigenization activity
 Guided 46 Nos of M.Tech Thesis in the area of Polymer Science & Technology
 Successfully completed 02 Nos of Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the area of Green Transportation Network & Sustainable Green Materials
 Recognized as an Adjunct Faculty for Durban University of Technology (DUT), South Africa
 Generated Intellectual Property in the area of E-waste Recycling, Composites/nanocomposites, and Zwitterionic based Polymer Coatings for marine applications & transferred 01 technology to the Industry in the area of E-waste Recycling & 02 Nos are in progress
 Actively involved in standardization activities with respect to ISO TC/61 for Biodegradability and terminology of plastics.
