BUDAPEST, 14 October 2019 – On the sidelines of the Budapest Water Summit 2019, Director General LI Yong met with Ferenc Dancs, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Director General Li highlighted UNIDO’s contribution to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 on clean water and sanitation, and industry’s role in preventing water crises. UNIDO and the Government of Hungary agreed to enhance cooperation in areas related to inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) with new initiatives and joint projects.
On behalf of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), I would like to warmly welcome you at this panel session jointly organized by UNIDO and our honorable Russian partners – the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum established under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Roscongress Foundation. Today’s session is devoted to the topic of “Women executives in building successful business models”. This is a topic which is particularly relevant in the context of our common aspiration to attain inclusive and sustainable development on the global, regional and national level.
