    VIENNA, 6 April 2020 – The regional chapter of the UN reform keeps moving forward steadily. The Arab region’s Regional Collaborative Platform (RCP) met last week virtually to reach agreement in the final configuration of the so-called "issues-based coalitions" (IBCs). The final design served to include a sub-group on economic management which will be co-convened by UNIDO’s Arab Regional Division.

    VIENNA, 7 April 2020 - The Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, has announced that the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 that began on 16 March are being extended until Thursday 30 April 2020. Subsequently, a message from the main Vienna-based UN Organizations stated that all personnel based at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) or elsewhere in Austria are required to adhere to the Austrian Government’s extended measures.
