GRODNO, 15 January 2019 – A new Centre of Excellence to support the creation of innovative agro-industrial structures in the Grodno region of north-western Belarus officially opened today at the Grodno State Agrarian University.

BISHKEK, 16 January 2019 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has convened a high-level workshop to present a draft “Health and Pollution Action Plan” for validation by Kyrgyz and international stakeholders. This action plan was developed in the context of a global project funded by the European Union (EU) called “Mitigating Toxic Exposures in Low and Middle-Income countries”.

VIENNA, 21 December 2018 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Government of the Republic of Moldova have signed the first Country Programming Framework (CPF) for inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

PARIS, 17 December 2018 - UNIDO participated in the Consultative Group Meeting on the Second Priority Action Plan (2019-23), held at the World Bank headquarters in Paris. The meeting was attended by multilateral and bilateral partners, and development finance institutions and agencies. VIENTIANE, 10 December 2018 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in collaboration with the Renewable Energy and New Material Institute (REMI) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), launched Lao PDR’s first Biomass Technology, Information and Learning Centre (BTILC) with the goal of promoting the production of solid biofuel for energy generation in the country.

VIENNA, 17 December 2018 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Roscongress Foundation – a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of conventions, exhibitions and public events in the Russian Federation – signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a framework for cooperation and that defines the terms and general conditions that will govern the cooperation between UNIDO and the Roscongress Foundation.
