KHOVD PROVINCE, MONGOLIA, 17 - 27 June 2019 – Within the framework of its “Support to Employment Creation in Mongolia” project, which is funded by the European Union, UNIDO organized a sheep wool quality improvement training in Khovd province to improve the yield quality by upgrading the raw materials preparation; by reducing production costs through improved business efficiency between producers and buyers; and by creating job opportunities and new businesses in the wool value chain.
BOGOTA, MEDELLIN, CALI and BARRANQUILLA, 11 - 14 June 2019 - UNIDO, together with the Swiss Secretariat of State for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism (MINCIT) through Colombia Productiva, launched the Quality Programme for the Chemical Value Chain in four of the country's main cities, namely Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Barranquilla.

Global production of primary, or virgin, plastic is expected to double by 2030 and to double again by 2050.
