VIENNA, 24 November 2017- At the conclusion of the First Regional Conference on Sustainable Industrial Development, "Promoting Sustainable Energy Solutions and Clean Technologies in CIS Countries", participants took part in a study visit to industrial facilities around Vienna which readily utilize cutting-edge sustainable energy solutions and clean technologies.

BRIDGETOWN, 24 November - Representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Barbados’ Ministry of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development (MIICS) and the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) have gathered to discuss the creation of a cluster for sustainable energy and climate technology in Barbados.

VIENNA, 23 November 2017 - The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) hosted an Expert Group Meeting reviewing Quality Policy Guiding Principles today. This continues a partnership with various key stakeholders from the global network for Quality Infrastructure (QI) development, as well as with representatives from national regional and international Q I-related institutions and development partners. This work is funded by the Government of Finland.

JAKARTA, 21 November - The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has organized an awareness raising workshop on the Programme for Country Partnership (PCP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Industry (MOI) of Indonesia.,  The PCP is a new model to accelerate economic growth, create jobs and reduce poverty, while protecting the environment. It is already yielding impressive results in three pilot countries: Ethiopia, Senegal and Peru.

HO CHI MINH, 15 November 2017 - The biennial Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Food Conference took place in Viet Nam this year. It was co-organized by Viet Nam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, ASEAN Committee of Science and Technology, the Federation of the Institutes on Food Science & Technology in ASEAN, the International Union of Food Science and Technology, and Viet Nam’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

GRONINGEN, 22 November - The United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s Institute for Capacity Development, in collaboration with the Energy Academy Europe (EAE) / New Energy Coalition has closed the second edition of its joint training programme on Sustainable Energy Solutions in Groningen, the Netherlands.
