Blantyre, Malawi, 7 November 2018 - The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has obtained the accreditation of its testing laboratories through the technical assistance provided by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under the EU-funded “Development of a Robust Standardization, Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Metrology Infrastructure (SQAM)” Project.

The Expo will run until 10 November 2018 with the participation of 20 heads of state and government, 300 government officials at minister and vice minister level, high-level representatives of United Nations and other international organizations as well as leading enterprises from over 130 countries. In total, more than 100 supporting activities will be held over the next days.
