RIO DE JAINEIRO, 16 September 2019 – The Brazilian Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro), the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), and the United Nations Forum on Sustainability Standards (UNFSS), which includes the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), UNCTAD, ITC, FAO and UNEP, hosted the second International Convention on Sustainable Trade and Standards (ICSTS), which was attended by over 600 participants.

VIENNA/ISLAMABAD, 25 September 2019 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) announced that it will arrange for a trade mission of the Pakistani surgical cluster to South Africa, from 28 October to 1 November 2019. The trade mission is one of the outputs of a cooperation agreement between UNIDO and the Government of Punjab to develop industrial clusters under the World Bank’s Jobs and Competitiveness Programme.

VIENNA, 18 September 2019 - The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will implement the ‘Enhancement of industrial statistics in Cambodia’ project, which aims at enhancing the institutional capacity of the National Institute of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning to produce timely, accurate and internationally-comparable industrial statistics to support the evidence-based policy-making, especially for industrial development and for the monitoring of its contribution to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
