VIENNA, 16 March 2020 - The UN Security and Safety Service in Vienna reports that 307 people out of 5,000 personnel came to work today to carry out critical tasks. That means more than 90 percent of colleagues are working remotely or otherwise at home. Thank you to those who are keeping all Vienna-based organizations running at the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

ACCRA, 11 March 2020. – UNIDO is piloting methodology to assess the readiness of a value chain to adopt blockchain technology.

VIENNA, 16 March 2020 – The Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), LI Yong, and the President of the European Brand Institute (EBI), Gerhard Hrebicek, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU reiterating their intention to expand the existing partnership to realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

VIENNA, 13 March 2020 - Bearing in mind the measures taken by the Austrian authorities and the advice from the VIC Medical Service, the Executive Heads of the four main VBOs have instructed personnel to work from home from 16 March to 3 April 2020. Only essential or critical staff, as identified by each VBO, will work at the VIC. Non-essential staff and visitors will not have access to the VIC during this period.

It was produced by UNIDO with financial support from the West African Health Organization (WAHO).
