VIENNA, 12 May 2022 - The Director General is participating in the spring session of the UN Chief Executives Board (CEB), which brings together the heads of thirty UN entities. The CEB engaged in a discussion on the challenges to the global economic recovery and how to reverse the trend of losing momentum on attaining the Sustainable Development Goals. 

Commenting on the discussion, the Director General said, “Cooperation brings success” but the great challenges we face – climate crisis, hunger, refugees – demand a much stronger commitment from the global community. He added that UNIDO has a central role to play among the UN agencies in bringing sustainable development to the world.
