Raghu Babu Nukala is an engineer-planner by education having over 30 years of work experience. He has extensive experience in the areas of International Development Cooperation and Sustainable Industrial Development including Eco industrial parks, Green industrial parks, Planning and designing of new industrial parks and investment zones, Retrofitting old industrial parks, Industrial waste water management, Cleaner production processes etc., besides experience in developing policy instruments, technical guidelines, capacity development of organisations and individuals, management of large programmes and quality management.
He is currently working as Project Director at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and is involved in Indo German Bilateral Development Cooperation in the field of Sustainable Urban and Industrial Development. He is an active member of the GIZ’s international Sustainable Industrial Areas Working Group having member projects from across the globe covering Mexico, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Algeria, Tunisia, India, Germany etc. He was associated with the development of the joint publication of UNIDO, the World Bank and GIZ on “International Framework for Eco Industrial Parks”.
