The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation requested UNIDO to organize jointly with Rostechnadzor, the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service, an international conference on ensuring industrial safety and security—an important but often overlooked aspect for pursuing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and associated SDGs:

Building on the recommendations brought forward in the Conference on Ensuring industrial Safety and Security in May 2019, and in response to the global crises caused by COVID-19, UNIDO and Rostechnadzor started a series of webinars on Ensuring Industrial Safety and Security. Each episode will feature a topic of relevance to the safety and security of workers and manufacturing. Experts from all over the world discuss their views on the topics in one-hour sessions and provide recommendations and a way forward in these challenging times.
