VIENNA, 12 April 2022 - UNIDO Director General Gerd Müller and European Union Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson today agreed today to further cooperation on green energy – a precondition to achieve the SDGs and global climate targets.

 

“UNIDO has great technical know-how in the field of access to sustainable energy", said Director General Müller and emphasized that UNIDO serves as a bridge between industrialized countries and emerging and developing economies – for technology, knowledge, innovation and investments. Strengthening cooperation with the European Union is a key component to enhance UNIDO’s bridging role for sustainable development worldwide.
