STOCKHOLM, 2 June 2022 - At the opening of the Stockholm+50 conference, Director General Gerd Müller met Steffi Lemke, Germany’s Environment Minister.

The Director General shared his view that the world needs to rethink what we do and how we act in politics and across the global economy. He reiterated his view that a world without hunger is possible, and that stopping climate change and preventing biodiversity loss is possible. He said, “ We have the technologies. We have the knowledge. We need the will, the political will for sustainable progress and for change.”
