Director General Müller’s action-packed mission to Germany

BERLIN - UNIDO’s Director General, Gerd Müller, took part in the GreenTech Festival, a global platform for empowering changemakers and fostering innovative green technologies. During his mission to Berlin, Müller also met German policymakers.

Speaking on a GreenTech Festival panel discussion titled, “Are we really ready for a zero-carbon economy”, Müller said UNIDO is coordinating investments, new technologies and digitalization, and has many projects and initiatives to build a functioning zero-carbon economy. He called on “young, tech-savvy people, multipliers and influencers” to cooperate with UNIDO.

Later, Müller visited the GreenTech Festival exhibition and stopped to check out the stands of Google, E.ON, the Government of Italy and SAP.

His mission to Berlin also took in a number of bilateral meetings including those with Susanne Baumann, Secretary of State at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, and Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor of Germany and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
