The renewed Joint Declaration reflects the long-standing partnership between the two organizations and their shared commitment to developing and implementing innovative solutions for technical education and skills development programmes within the industrial skills development agenda.

The collaboration spans from industrial manufacturing to process automation, industrial water management and Environmental Discovery Systems.

In Morocco, the two organizations have recently cooperated on the H2O Maghreb project using innovation and technology to establish a training hub with state-of-the-art and sustainable water management practices with virtual reality tools for the next generation of Moroccan water professionals. This project also enhanced the participation of women in the sector with 76% female students and contributed to job creation with 75% of the graduates from the first intake finding employment within 6 months of graduation.

By providing modern learning environments for vocational education and technical training, teachers’ training programmes and e-learning solutions, joint projects are currently being implemented in Liberia, Syria and Iraq, with expansion to other countries planned.

Furthermore, Festo Didactic is one of the founding members of the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility.
