About

She has a Master degree in Public Policy from the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and a degree in Economics, with ten years of experience in foreign trade policies. At the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, she has served as advisor to the Vice Ministry of Foreign Trade and has led the North American and European Directorate, being responsible for the implementation of Peru’s trade agreements with the United States, the European Union, Canada and EFTA. She has been the chief negotiator for the transition to a bilateral trade agreement with the United Kingdom and has been responsible for bilateral trade relations with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. In recent years, she led the Directorate of Development of International Markets and the Directorate of Assistance for Foreign Trade. She was sub-Chief negotiator of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty, now CPTPP, between 2011 and 2013, and coordinator of the Peru-Korea Free Trade Agreement. She also served as coordinator of the technical team and negotiator in matters of Commercial Defense and Competition Policy; as well as, negotiator in matters of Development and Regulatory Coherence, among others.
